Tycho Manson of Toronto, Canada, whose parents have a lot to answer for, name-wise, writes, "Am halfway through the book. The Association but not the Left Banke? Please."

Tycho, to warrant entry in The Rock Snob*s Dictionary, an artist or entity must have a certain je ne sais quoi, an intangible Snob-attracting quality. Put bluntly, the baroque-pop stylings of the Left Banke don't got it. While the Left Banke is often lumped in with the Wuss-Rock likes of the Association, the latter band benefits, Snob-wise, from its, er, association with Wuss Rock auteur Curt Boettcher, whose entry, on page 12, you've already read, if, as you claim, you're halfway through the book.

Might we add that we're shocked that you didn't devour the book in one sitting.
